I thought I had scouted out just about every source of jewelry known to man or womankind.  I didn’t think there were any frontiers left to explore.

Wrong!

I actually knew of The Artful Home, already.  I can frequently  be found on their website looking at art prints, candles, candle holders, lamps, clocks and other things my house craves.  But, until this morning, I’d never browsed around and looked at their Jewelry.  In truth, I didn’t even realize they had jewelry.

This morning, though, I felt kind of adventerous (Spring has that effect on me.) - so I went snooping around.  The very first lovely I bumped into was the gorgeous “Angeline Bracelet” (Pictured above, left)- hand-fabricated from sterling silver and 22K gold bimetal and sterling silver cable.  There are matching earrings that are equally breathtaking.

Sarah Jessica Parker, who turns 42 this month - and is wearing it very well, thank you very much - has taken a lovely step into the world of fashion.

She will be designing her own collection of clothing, footwear and accessories.  The actress has teamed up with the New York-based chain Steve and Barry’s to produce a “high-quality clothing line that is affordable to the masses.”  The line, which is called “Bitten,” debuts nationwide on June 7th, and will be offered in a full range of sizes, from small to XXL. Each piece will reportedly be $20 and under.

Her character wore only high end fashions on the HBO hit,  Sex in the City, but Parker’s aim with this collection is to make beautiful and functional clothing and accessories that just about any fashionista can afford. In fact, Bitten’s motto is: “Fashion is not a luxury, it’s a right.”

That’s something we can all bite into.

These totally bizarre runway images are from the Funkshion Miami Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2007 Show.  These are from the Custo Barcelona collection, and the hairstyles are from…well they may well be from Pebbles Flintsone.  Pebbles Flintstone on prescription meds - and lost of them.

The clothes and the bags (to the left and at the bottom) are working it all out, even if the hair leaves me (Flint)stone cold.

I absolutely love the colors and the energy of this collection.  My favorite designs are those that challenge the person who wears them to step it up and dare them to make it work.

This collection is nothing if not daring - you have to give them that.

The colors even remind me of being in Florida - the blues representing the water (especially around the Keys) and the tan and white representing the sandy beaches. Small, shimmering beads are accented with larger wooden ones for contrast and texture. Beaded wire keeps its clean, cuff shape and makes it easy to slip on.  The bracelet shown is, obviously, Turquoise.  It’s also available in the colors Peach and Green.

Old Navy actually has countless gorgeous, and beautifully affordable clothes, jewelry, bags, belts, etc.  I get lost on their website finding one thing after the other.  Unfortunately we don’t have one in the town - or even county - where I live, so all my shopping (and wishing) had to be done online.  Not that that’s a problem.  My Old Navy store never closes!

You know who the beauty, above, is but you may not be familiar with her gorgeous handbag. Accessories are one of the first things i notice when looking at pictures of celebrities, and I’ve noticed that Jessica Simpson always, always, always has the most amazing handbags and shoes.  Her taste in accessories is as flawless as her face.

Kathy Van Zeeland was founded in 2004, and has never missed a beat in keeping up with the hottest trends in fashion.  Without fail, KVZ uses the best materials to create products that are second to none in quality.  Strangely enough, however, her handbags and other accessories aren’t as expensive as those of other designers.   Shopahaulics like me are very, very, very grateful for this fact - as we have no desire to count ourselves amongst the broke and busted.

Kathy Van Zeeland offers over 15 different Collections, so you’re sure to find exactly what you’re hoping for.  One of current favorite collections is the Crown Royale Collection (its logo is to the right).  Not only are Crowns ridiculously “in” right now, the handbags in this collection are nothing short of amazing.  The hook, however, just might be the gorgeous logo.  I’m not sure what it says about me, but I love a great logo.  And, quite frankly, I love for the logo to be out there, you know?  Admitedly, the bag, itself, is the main thing - if it’s well-made, functional, and drop-dead gorgeous.  But, let’s just be honest - if we’re carrying a really, really nice bag, we want everyone to pretty much know it!

This logo lets the world know that you settle for nothing in life - well, nothing but the very best, that is.  That’s a statement and a testimony that all of us want….we’d be crazy not to!
