You’re very familiar with my America’s Next Top Model Obsession.  Love the show madly - every little tiny part of it.  Paulina was, imo, a great addition this season but I didn’t like the way she came across on the finale.  The woman hated everything and everyone.

I thought this was a really, really strong top three this time - even if the way they finished was a complete reverse of the order I wanted them to.  Fatima was a favorite of mine from the start.  That face, are you kidding me?  She is so elegantly gorgeous and graceful

Anya’s also a beauty, and seems so sweet and adorable.  You can’t help but love her.  I liked quite a few girls this season - Fatima was simply my girl from the get go.  She really came a long way, too.

I think Whitney’s a beautiful girl - a knockout, actually.  She may end up having the biggest career out of all the ANTM winners, yet.

HOWEVER….  Tyra or someone needs to have a little chit chat with her.  She recently told The New York Post:

 ”I’ve already heard online from boys and girls all over the world who are dealing with eating disorders,” she said. “They’re thanking me for standing up and saying, “I am a plus-size model and I am beautiful.”

…”this is what people look like!” Thompson said, referring to herself, “rather than skin and bones, which is disgusting and sends a bad message to people everywhere.”

How is criticizing thin people any different, or better than, people criticizing not so thin people?  Disgusting????!!!!  People ARE NOT disgusting based on the size of their bodies or the way they look.  I realize she’s only 20 and the words probably came spilling out of her mouth before she realized it.  After all, it’s a really exciting time for her and everything.  She did come across, during the season, as outspoken and kind of mouthy.  If she’s going to bring the same kind of respect to her title and to the show that Jaslene has done, someone needs to tell her that until her attitude shifts, she needs to:   Smile more.  Talk less. 

But disgusting?!  If she does get work in the fashion industry (which I believe, beyond a shadow of a dougt, she will) she’ll be working with people who she has deemed disgusting.   I hope she’ll retract those words asap.  She’s beautiful, young, and has the most glamorous career imaginable in front of her.  It’s way past time to ditch the chip that rides on her shoulder.

While I’m at it - can you believe this girl (who weighs between a size 8 and a size 10) is even considered “plus size?”  Crazy world.

I also still believe in Claire and Dominique.  Some of Dominique’s pictures were mind-blowing.

One of my favorite young actresses is 22 year old Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl.  Not only is she very talented and fun to watch, Leighton seems like a really down to earth, level-headed, beautiful girl.  I absolutely love her style, too.  She’s never grungy, tacky, or hoochie - she always oozes class, glamour, and understated sexiness.  There’s a distinctive throwback to the golden age of Hollywood with Leighton.

Leighton told USA Today: “I have a little Dior, but what I do have I cherish.”

I just spent about 30 minutes on Skechers.com and it made me painfully aware of one thing.  I wish I’d been born rich rather than so ridiculously beautiful.  The whole dead-ringer for Angelina Jolie thing had always made me so happy.  But now?  I’d trade it all for money.

Have you looked around their website lately?  Their shoes are so gorgeous, it’s amazing.  But that’s not all they have.   I don’t know where I’ve been (okay, I do know - it starts with a S and ends with a tarbucks), but Skechers sells some really hot clothes.  How long has this been going on?

One of my favorite pairs of sandals is pictured above.  Are they sweet or what?
