One of my favorite young actresses is 22 year old Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl.  Not only is she very talented and fun to watch, Leighton seems like a really down to earth, level-headed, beautiful girl.  I absolutely love her style, too.  She’s never grungy, tacky, or hoochie - she always oozes class, glamour, and understated sexiness.  There’s a distinctive throwback to the golden age of Hollywood with Leighton.

Leighton told USA Today: “I have a little Dior, but what I do have I cherish.”

The fact that it resembles Victoria Beckham makes me want it all the more.  Love her, can’t deny it - why fight it?

Of all times not to have a stash of money hidden under my matress.  Kimberly Locke, who looked gorgeous on Idol last night, is auctioning off the equally gorgeous Goddess Couture dress designed by (Arm Sweets favorite new designer) Christian Siriano.

It’s a shame the show doesn’t let Christian Siriano dress the contestants.  A few of the girls this season could use some help from his Fierceness. 

The one of a kind dress worn by Kimberly Locke is available for auction at www.clothesoffourback.org. Funds raised through the Kimberley Locke/Christian Siriano dress auction will support Camp Heartland (www.campheartland.org), a national camping and care program for children impacted by HIV/AIDS.

That, of course, is the most beautiful thing of all.

The first couple of style attended the First Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon on February 21, 2008 and strutted their considerable stuff in grand fashion.

They always look so flawless, beautiful, and so in love.  That’s a look that can’t be beat.  I love her dress and the shoes are killing me!  I also love the way her clutch matches Tom’s top - very nice.

Katie has become one of my top style icons.  She’s as elegant and stylish as they come.

I’m really not all that familiar with actress Amber Heard, but I’m blown away by how gorgeous she looked at the L.A. Premiere of the new movie, Never Back Down.  Everything about her look is simply flawless.  The hot pink dress is stunning and the way she’s wearing her hair with it only accentuates her beauty as well as that of the dress.  Wearing it down would have taken away from the magnificent dress.

Even the jewelry and shoes are spot on sensational.  Amber definitely gets my “Look of the week” award - maybe even “Look of the month,” with an eye on “Look of the year.”  Amazing.  When I first saw the shoes, I thought, “I dunno, maybe some black shoes would’ve been better…” - but when I pictured it with black shoes, it was too predictable -  black shoes would have just drawn more attention to the black belt, then when you looked at her, you’d mainly notice two things:

1. Black Belt
2. Black Shoes

As it is, you look at her and notice exactly what you should - a gorgeous actress in a gorgeous dress.

One of my favorite actresses of all time is Julia Roberts - along with Audrey Hepburn, Keira Knightley, Lucille Ball, and Angelina Jolie, Julia’s tops with me.

She was photographed recently on the streets of Manhattan.  Hopefully she’s gearing up for another great role.  I haven’t had nearly enough Julia Roberts movies lately.

I absolutely love the umbrella, and the bag is to die for, of course.  She looks amazing, as always. 

In a letter to Aretha Franklin, PETA spokesperson Dan Matthews writes:

“Music lovers may think of you as a ‘queen,’ but to animal lovers, you are a court jester . Why not shed the old-fashioned look that adds pounds to your frame and detracts from your beautiful voice? Please consider donating your furs to the homeless as ‘queen of compassion,’ Mariah Carey, did. You’ll get a tax credit for the donation, and we at PETA will all sing your praises.”

Ouch.

I’m mean, sure, the fur should go - we all know that.  But hasn’t the lady earned a little more R.E.S.P.E.C.T. than that?

So, what do you think - are these two a reasonably attractive couple?  Yeah, I guess…
