As Just Jared.com reports, Eva Longoria has courted the ire of PETA.  

As she made her way to a morning talk show appearance, she was covered in fur and was carrying an alligator handbag.  I never even try to hide how I feel about fur coats - it always, always, always looks better on the animal it belongs to.  If we lived in a time when it was the only way we could stay warm, then of course it would be appropriate and necessary.  But, come on, it’s just a status symbol today.  “Look at me, I’m filthy rich!“  There are plenty of other coats to wear - coats that don’t cost an innocent animal it’s life for you to feel superior.

Oh, yeah, I went there.

Lindsay Lohan is officially out of rehab now and facing life in the real world.  I wish her all the best.  I would imagine that recovering from an addiction is hard enough without the world watching and, let’s be honest, just waiting for you to mess up again.

My fingers are crossed for Lindsay!

She looks pretty darned great - love the outfit she’s put together, especially the Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Bag.  I’m one of those people who travels “heavy” - it seems like I’m always carrying half of my house around with me.  So, for me, the bigger the bag/the better the bag. 

Lindsay’s boots are pretty fierce in their own right!  Great look.

A lot of people are quick to answer “Victoria Beckham” (or “Posh Spice’) when asked to name one of their style icons.  She’s a great one, you can’t argue that.  The lady’s always amazingly put-together and…well…posh.

Since I pretty much have an obsession with accessories, I notice her handbags, jewelry, belts, scarves, watches, shoes - things like that - as much as I do the gorgeous clothes and trendy hairstyles.  Okay, the hairstyles I notice just as much.

Posh, (like Jessica Simpson, Keira Knightley, Kimora, Tyra…) is brilliant when it comes to jewelry. I love her taste muchly.

The Victoria Beckham Style CZ Cocktail Ring - green, above, features a large central 19ct imitation emerald CZ, double prong set, flanked on either side with 0.25ct diamond-like CZ baguettes and surrounded by 0.03ct pave set round cut stones. The pave set stones extend halfway down the side of the ring, so you can bling at every angle!

That was a mouthful, but I love that last part - you know, the “bling at every angle” bit. Yeah, sign me SO UP for that.

Here are some hot recent pics of one of my all-time favorite models, the ridiculously beautiful Tyra Banks.  Love the dress, the silver bag, and the shades…but most of all, I love the lady behind all of them.  She’s one of the few (precious few) celebrities that I actually respect. She has brains, beauty, guts, and a spirit that refuses to do anything but soar.

Pretty much love that.

Jennifer Lopez is one of my Style Icons, so I always pay a lot of attention to what she’s wearing and how she’s wearing it.  The girl is nothing but class.  The pictures in this post are from September 21, 2007 in London, England - JLo was doing what JLo does best…schooling the rest of the world on style.

This type of look is what I always refer to as casual glamour. She looks comfortable and approachable, yet at the same time she’s unmistakably glamorous and sophisticated. Like Katerine Hepburn before her, Jennifer Lopez is brilliant when it comes to working this look.

Every detail is gorgeous - from her makeup and hat to her jewelry and handbag.  The large hoop earrings go with the hat like they were sold together - and check out the breathtaking bracelets.

One of my favorite places to get my handbag fix is TJ Maxx.  They have THE most gorgeous bags, clutches, shoes and other accessories in town.  I also love their body lotion, pillows, and skin care.  But their claim to fame in my world is their designer handbags (Baby Phat, Gwen Stefani’s line, Giorgio Armani, Dooney & Bourke, Chanel, Kathy Van Zeeland, Tommy Hilfiger, etc…)- bags you can’t find anywhere else…and certainly not at the prices they sell them for.

So when I got an e-mail alert telling me that TJ Maxx is having a “Designer Handbag Event” starting this Sunday (August 5, 2007), I nearly dropped my coffee.  With my birthday this month, I can definitely see a handbag or two in my immediate future. Now to backtrack and give a definitive answer to a few of those family members who asked what I wanted.  “Ohhhh, noth-ing…” has been upgraded to “Ohhhh, a TJ Maxx handbag….”

Stars love the Yves Saint Laurent Downtown Tote.  While I’m pretty mad about Ashlee’s red bag and Halle’s Silver one, I’m most in love with Jessica Biel’s white bag.  The way it looks with her white dress is eye-popping and heart-stopping. (Click the pic for a larger view.)

I know I’ve sang JLo’s praise on this blog so much you probably think I own part of the biz, but (sadly) that’s nowhere near the truth.

I’m merely a huge fan and admirer - not only of the lady’s talent, style, and beauty, but also of the amazing products that carry her name.  The jewelry, the clothes, and everything - right down to the underwear - is off the charts amazing.  The quality is as high as you could hope for, and the prices are so fair you’ll wonder why they don’t mark them up.  Not that we’ll suggest it, or anything. 

The eye-catchingly hot green Cord Pleated Skirt, shown here, paired with the sexy little black Ruffled Top are the stuff red hot summer nights are built around.

I love it when fashion, such as handbags or tees, take it upon themselves to make a little statement about life, in general.  Whether it’s subtle or feels like a sledge hammer - I just love it when they make their own statement, literally.
