Anuschka Multi-Compartment Bag - Women's Designer Handbag
My friend to the left is the Anuschka Multi-Compartment Bag - Women’s Designer Handbag, but you can just call her sexy for short.

This gorgeousness is made in India which makes it pretty exotic, if you ask me.

The colorful handbag has a central compartment with all-round zip entry.  The two full-length outer compartments have  magnetic closures….love that.

There’s also an inner zip and a multipurpose pocket.

My favorite thing about this bag is the artwork on the outside.  The gorgeous colors, flowers, and the beautiful, feminine butterfly.  The bag is handpainted, which only makes me love it more.  The artwork pretty much takes it from my wish list straight to my If I don’t get this bag soon, I may implode list.

Click the purse or the link at the first of the post to take a closer look at this little beauty.  Just in time for Spring and Summer!

Julia Roberts

One of my favorite actresses of all time is Julia Roberts - along with Audrey Hepburn, Keira Knightley, Lucille Ball, and Angelina Jolie, Julia’s tops with me.

She was photographed recently on the streets of Manhattan.  Hopefully she’s gearing up for another great role.  I haven’t had nearly enough Julia Roberts movies lately.

I absolutely love the umbrella, and the bag is to die for, of course.  She looks amazing, as always.

If you thought the Hermes crocodile-skin and diamond-encrusted Birkin bags were outrageous, you might faint when you hear about the Ginza Tanaka handbag. This metallic Tokyo beauty in platinum is studded with 2,182 diamonds. That’s a total of 208 carats in all with an alarming 1.63 million price tag.

If you are hankering for a diamond purse, there are many different designs to choose from that all have unique styles. Some are metallic, like the Ginza Tanaka and others rely on exotic animal skin, like snake or lizard, to set them apart from the rest. Some are even made with stingray leather.

Diamond-embellished purses go great with diamond jewelry. You don’t necessarily have to go for the most expensive diamond purse to pair it with an eye-catching diamond bangle. You can even highlight the diamond purse motif with a flirty and fun pair of diamond purse earrings.

Diamond purses are becoming much trendier than just the classic brand name designer purse. With price tags in the thousands they are status symbols that keep the celebrities a notch above the common folk, an aura that other designer bags have lost in recent years. So you can expect to see more original diamond-studded purses coming out with varying price ranges, some in the thousands and some notably in the millions.

Sugar Plums Solstice - Women's Medium Handbag

Hello, beautiful!  The gorgeous bag above is the Sugar Plums Solstice Handbag.  Solstice - the time of the year for new beginnings….they couldn’t have chosen a much cooler name.  It fits the bag perfectly.

Solstice is a high-volume, high-value bag featuring hand-applied metal decors on a black body front with a hand-beaded grid design on the back. The detachable embellished strap and hand-clasp grip add a dimension of user choice. The interior features a key strap, cell phone pocket, and zip wallet. The roomy side and bottom gussets are embellished with metal beads and beaded decors.

Clearly a very special fashion piece to add to your own unique and stylish wardrobe! A perfect bag to carry over the shoulder for day and with its self-handle at night.

It’d make a great start!

I’m afraid that I’m such a pack rat that I’d need one of these Handbag Organizers in every room of my house to organize all my purses and handbags, but this would be ideal to organize the ones I rotate the most.

I recently bought a huge clear plastic container to keep my handbag collection in on the top shelp in my closet.  But it’s a total and complete headache to hoist it up and down when I want to change up the bag I’m carrying.

This organizer would be perfect to keep my absolute favorite ones handy.

Purses (along with bracelets) are one of my biggest weaknesses…hence the blog, right?  I see at least one handbag I want every single day.  If they’re a weakness of your’s as well, you know that organizing them is a lot more trouble than buying them.

This may just be the solution that’ll free us up to purchase more!

From the Website:

Stylish organizing system! Convenient organizer holds up to 7 handbags with easy snap closures. Hang on a wall or door to create more shelf or closet space. 39 1/2″ H x 4″ W. Non-woven polypropylene.

It’s under $10, so getting several would be just plain economical….then, of course you’d need to go out and buy more bags to hand on the empty spaces, right?

That’s just plain sweet

Here are some hot recent pics of one of my all-time favorite models, the ridiculously beautiful Tyra Banks.  Love the dress, the silver bag, and the shades…but most of all, I love the lady behind all of them.  She’s one of the few (precious few) celebrities that I actually respect. She has brains, beauty, guts, and a spirit that refuses to do anything but soar.

Pretty much love that.

TJ Maxx Handbag Sale

One of my favorite places to get my handbag fix is TJ Maxx.  They have THE most gorgeous bags, clutches, shoes and other accessories in town.  I also love their body lotion, pillows, and skin care.  But their claim to fame in my world is their designer handbags (Baby Phat, Gwen Stefani’s line, Giorgio Armani, Dooney & Bourke, Chanel, Kathy Van Zeeland, Tommy Hilfiger, etc…)- bags you can’t find anywhere else…and certainly not at the prices they sell them for.

So when I got an e-mail alert telling me that TJ Maxx is having a “Designer Handbag Event” starting this Sunday (August 5, 2007), I nearly dropped my coffee.  With my birthday this month, I can definitely see a handbag or two in my immediate future. Now to backtrack and give a definitive answer to a few of those family members who asked what I wanted.  “Ohhhh, noth-ing…” has been upgraded to “Ohhhh, a TJ Maxx handbag….”

See their website for the store nearest you, as well as to whet your appetite with their goodies.

If you look at the very top of the page and the very bottom, you’ll notice that I’ve added a new feature to the blog.  These “Auction Ads” will rotate a huge variety of hot purses, handbags, jewelry and totes.  The best thing about them is that you can get them for a lot less than they’d normally cost you.  Shopping like this is the funnest way to shop - it’s like you’re hunting for your own personal treasure while getting away with a steal.

The ads change each time you come, or each time you refresh the page.  So, keep your eye on them (maybe even both eyes) - because you never know when something you MUST have will turn up!

Whiting and Davis Pop Art Handbag
Check out this beauty!  She’s taking this whole fashion thing seriously.  When I first laid eyes on this
Whiting and Davis Pop Art Handbag
, my mind couldn’t make itself up - part of it thought the sophisticated style was what made it stand out, while the other part was all about the pop art fun.  Both sides agreed that it was something all of us must have.

From the website:

Take a trip back in time with this timeless Pop Art Handbag. From Whiting and Davis, masters at mesh design, this dazzling handbag features vibrant retro shapes printed on its silver-brushed metal mesh. A dainty silver-brushed metal chain looks elegant draped over your shoulder and a rectangular frame with an angular clasp closure keeps your belongings beautifully secure. The Pop Art Handbag opens to reveal a black satiny lining with a slip pocket. We love to pair this flirty, fun handbag with white dresses and vintage designs.

Well said, copywriters.

The Sak Janet Stripe Minis Flap Handbag

The Sak Janet Stripe Minis Flap Handbag
, above, is from a website that’s completely new to me, Endless.com.  Ironically, the number of gorgeous handbags and shoes they have is…..you guessed it, endless.

With a funky, chunky, crocheted body and a rainbow-colored tassel, the Janet mini flap handbag from The Sak will tote your tiniest take-alongs in candy-sweet style. It also has built-in cell phone and card slot pockets to help you pare down to the vitals.

I don’t know about you, but I’m all about paring down the vitals in the summer.  The less I have to tote around, the better.  Float like a butterfly, that sort of thing.
