The pictures in this post are from September 21, 2007 in London, England - JLo was doing what JLo does best…schooling the rest of the world on style. This type of look is what I always refer to as casual glamour. She looks comfortable and approachable, yet at the same time she’s unmistakably glamorous and sophisticated. Like Katerine Hepburn before her, Jennifer Lopez is brilliant when it comes to working this look. Every detail is gorgeous - from her makeup and hat to her jewelry and handbag. The large hoop earrings go with the hat like they were sold together - and check out the breathtaking bracelets. You look gorgeous as always JLo!
I was asked recently what my favorite perfume was. Since it changes (almost weekly!), I had to say, “At the moment…..” There are SO MANY amazing fragrances on the market, picking just one would be like picking just one favorite dessert, which I can’t do either. I tend to wear perfume to match what I’m wearing or how I’m feeling. For example, if I’m going to the park to walk or play tennis, I’ll spray on something kind of kicky like Charlie or Exclamation. Other times, I’ll grab Lovely (shown), by Sarah Jessica Parker or one of JLo’s killer fragrances. I got an e-mail from a girl who was getting married soon. She was asking about white satin clutches and gloves. (She’s going to be such a knock-out, her groom will pass out!) I asked her what perfume she was going to wear and she said the one that started it all: How perfectly Lovely
I know I’ve sang JLo’s praise on this blog so much you probably think I own part of the biz, but (sadly) that’s nowhere near the truth. I’m merely a huge fan and admirer - not only of the lady’s talent, style, and beauty, but also of the amazing products that carry her name. The jewelry, the clothes, and everything - right down to the underwear - is off the charts amazing. The quality is as high as you could hope for, and the prices are so fair you’ll wonder why they don’t mark them up. Not that we’ll suggest it, or anything. The eye-catchingly hot green Cord Pleated Skirt, shown here, paired with the sexy little black Ruffled Top are the stuff red hot summer nights are built around. The jewelry completes the look beautifully. In my book, a great pair of hoops pulls a look together nearly as well as a killer purse. Look at it - it’s so sexy it should come with a warning label. This Tube Top I’ve blogged about Shop JLo.com before, and my sentiments then hold true now…even more so, actually after seeing this top. It’s on sale now for, like, $30.00 less than it’s normal price - so you might want to get while the getting’s good, as they say. The website refers to this beauty as the “picture of edgy sophistication.” Me? I just call it damned sexy.

I know I’ve seen a watch just like this on JLo before, I just can’t find the picture in my files. She wore a Grecian-type dress with this watch, if memory serves as well as I think it does. The spectacular Sabina sunglasses would complete the perfect ONE - TWO punch. I’m usually not that into sunglasses…I save my fashion passion for handbags, shoes, jewelry, and, clothes - but these pretty much blow me away. They could convert me all by themselves.
