I’ve always liked Fashion Bug for their clothes, but I think they do an EVEN better job finding great looking handbags. Like I’ve said before on this blog (as well as others), what you pay for a purse doesn’t matter. All that matters is the purse - and if it’s a great purse, it’ll be a great purse whether it’s $24 or $240.

By the same token, if it’s a crummy purse, it’ll be a crummy purse whether it’s $240 or $24.

You just can’t judge fashion by its pricetag!

Okay, I’ll step down off of my soapbox long enough to talk about these beautiful clutches. Like I said, they’re from Fashion Bug.com - a fun place to shop and grab some really great deals. These Ruffled Satin Clutch bags with detachable wrist straps are 9″ x 6″ with a zip-top closure and an inside zip pocket.

I love the ruffles almost as much as the beautiful satin shimmer. They’re so sexy and girly!

They’re available in the colors shown, black or silver. At $18, I’d go with the third option….you know, the one that’s always best: Buy one of each.

This Jewel Bunny Handbag  is too sexy for its own good. 

The Black PVC handbag has a ridiculously cute studded Rabbit Head and chain link handle.   Measuring 5″ x 8″ x 2″, it’s the perfect size for taking along on a sexy night out.

One of the things that really surprised me is the fact that Shopping the Bunny isn’t only fun, it’s VERY reasonable.  The bag pictured here is less than $15, the high quality lipgloss is less than $10, and there’s a particularly sexy white Rocker Cowboy hat with a gold guitar design (over the bunny) that’s just $34 (linked courtesy of the beauty below).  They also have a lot of clothes that you have to see to believe.  Great Stuff!

I’m sure the name and looks are a dead giveaway, so you already know this purse doesn’t come cheaply.  But as I’ll say frequently on this blog, you get what you pay for and you pay for what you get.  You want a great bag that’ll last years and years - and announces to the world that you have style and taste in great abundance, right?

While they would be perfect to have on hand for a variety of occasions, I can’t help thinking that they exist for the sole purpose of prom nights and other formal events.  They’re all dressed up and looking so snazzy - it’d be a shame not to take them someplace extra nice.

This bag is the dramatic cousin of the bag in the last post.  A basic black purse is as important to one’s wardrobe as a basic black skirt.  In fact, when I first saw this gorgeous  Colorful Creations DP94 Shimmer (Women’s) - Pewter Shimmer, my inner diva immediately paired it up with my own black skirt and a 3/4 sleeve length black and white blouse.

Finished off with a great pair of black pumps… or unexpected sexy red shoes (with equally sexy red jewelry), and it’s out the door to see what we can all get into!

The Colorful Creations DP94 (Women’s) - Red Satin

is an adorable round purse featuring a beautiful beaded design and crimson beads on the straps.  The manufacturer points out that it’s perfect for a dress or formal wear, and while I can’t argue that, I can see just the right female with just the right attitude making it fly with a pair of great jeans and a white tee.

Sometimes, it’s all about pulling out the unexpected - keeps people guessing.  After all, the gal who carries a formal, beaded crimson purse while wearing denim and cotton lets the world know she has no intention of conforming or trying to fit into any typeset!
