The details on these bags and belts are absolutely phenomenal.  They’re from Amano Accessories by Carmen Gamarra and pretty much remove my breath from my body.  Click the link to see more of Carmen Gamarra’s brilliance, and click the t-nails below for a closer look at the models and accessories featured in a visually gorgeous runway appearance.

Katharine McPhee

Katharine McPhee even looks drop dead gorgeous underneath several layers of clothes!  She’s brilliantly using a colorful handbag to accent her look, too.  With the dark boots, navy jacket, dark top, and jeans (not to mention the beautiful dark tresses), it was a stroke of fashion genius to throw a dash of hot orange in the mix.  It’s unexpected, for one thing, and for another it echoes her warm, off-beat personality.

That, to me, is one of the most important things when buying a handbag - it should reflect its owner.  One of the things I love about Katharine McPhee’s style is that she dresses and accessorizes to match her mood.  She can be sophisticated and sexy for an evening on the town, then turn around the next day and be the fun-loving girl next door.

She doesn’t put on any airs - she seems to be as genuine and warm as her smile.

By the way, this is totally off-topic, but if you haven’t gotten this young lady’s cd, go grab one right away - it’s amazing!

Macy's Shoe and Handbag Sale

Macy’s is having an ONLINE sale on handbags and shoes this week.  The sale is only ONLINE, and will last till the 25th.  Click the link to see all the beauties.  I love the gold handbag and sandals pictured above.  Add a killer pair of oversized gold hoop earrings and you’ll have a summer to long remember!

Model wearing Custo Barcelona Spring 2007These totally bizarre runway images are from the Funkshion Miami Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2007 Show.  These are from the Custo Barcelona collection, and the hairstyles are from…well they may well be from Pebbles Flintsone.  Pebbles Flintstone on prescription meds - and lost of them.

The clothes and the bags (to the left and at the bottom) are working it all out, even if the hair leaves me (Flint)stone cold.

I absolutely love the colors and the energy of this collection.  My favorite designs are those that challenge the person who wears them to step it up and dare them to make it work.

This collection is nothing if not daring - you have to give them that.

Click any of the thumbnails below to see the picture larger and up close.  You’ll want to get a closer look at these, trust me.

American West Purse The cutie to the left is from Bootbay.com.  The website is smack in the middle of a 20 percent off sale on all of their American West Purses.  They have a great selection of American West Purses, but this one just might be my favorite.

They also have some of the most amazing boots and belts that you’ve ever seen in your life. And the quality on everything they sell is, quite frankly, as good as it gets.  They have products for men, women, and kids and feature a large number of impressive brands.

Purse Features:

  • Single Compartment Large Soft Hobo
  • Inside Zipper Pocket and Pouches
  • Brown and White Printed Hair-On Cowhide and Brown Chrome Leather
  • Dimensions 15” x 11” x 2”
  • Strap Length 17” - 19”
  • Billfold

The billfold above is also from Bootbay.com, and it’d be a perfect match for the purse.

    Billfold Features:

  • Tri-Fold Wallet
  • Snap Closure
  • Flap for Checkbook
  • 13 Card Slots
  • 5 Compartments
  • Back Has Zipper Coin Pocket
  • Brown Chrome Leather and Brown and White Printed Hair-On Cowhide
  • Dimension 7.5” x 4”
  • Trust me, you HAVE to check out the handbags on this website - I’m more worked up about them than any bags I’ve seen in a long time.  These are phenomenal.  When you get to the website, enter handbags in the search field.

    You’ll be glad you did!

Francesco Biasia Shoulder BagYou’ll see a lot of Francesco Biasia bags on this blog, as they’re a personal favorite. There’s something that’s elegant and timeless about a Biasia bag - and built to last?  Forget about it, the bags will outlive their owners.

    From the website:

This light and breezy satchel style shoulder bag is a must have for spring. Made of luxurious raffia with rich reptile embossed leather trim. Platform bottom. Top magnetic snap closure. Interior lining with multifunctional slip pockets and a center zip divider. 15 3/4” wide x 5 1/4” deep x 10” high. Shoulder drop: 12” length.

These bags are usually between $200 and $300.  When you consider that you’re buying a bag that’ll be with you for two forevers, you realize that it’s money very, very well spent.

Colorful Creations DP16 Shimmer (Women's) - Gold ShimmerLook at this beauty!  The Colorful Creations DP16 Shimmer (Women’s) - Gold Shimmer is a very unique and elegant throwback to the glamour and beauty of Hollywood in the 40’s and 50’s.

Adorned with rhinestones, it features a classic sillouette and interchangeable, versatile carrying straps.

These gorgeous little purses are available in Silver Shimmer and Gold Shimmer (Shown here.)

While they would be perfect to have on hand for a variety of occasions, I can’t help thinking that they exist for the sole purpose of prom nights and other formal events.  They’re all dressed up and looking so snazzy - it’d be a shame not to take them someplace extra nice.
