Sarah Jessica Parker Enters the World of Fashion

Sarah Jessica Parker, who turns 42 this month - and is wearing it very well, thank you very much - has taken a lovely step into the world of fashion.

She will be designing her own collection of clothing, footwear and accessories.  The actress has teamed up with the New York-based chain Steve and Barry’s to produce a “high-quality clothing line that is affordable to the masses.”  The line, which is called “Bitten,” debuts nationwide on June 7th, and will be offered in a full range of sizes, from small to XXL. Each piece will reportedly be $20 and under.

Her character wore only high end fashions on the HBO hit,  Sex in the City, but Parker’s aim with this collection is to make beautiful and functional clothing and accessories that just about any fashionista can afford. In fact, Bitten’s motto is: “Fashion is not a luxury, it’s a right.”

That’s something we can all bite into.
