Tyvek can not be easily ripped and is waterproof (the Post Office uses envelopes made of it) so these bags have the lightness of a paper bag with the strength of steel.

Part of the fun of these bags is that they are so unexpected; They look like they can rip at any moment and it is always surprising that they don’t. Since they pack flat and are so light, they are great for travel or for putting inside another bag.
